Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murry Bookchin!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bookchin jabs Zaro right on the nose. Zaro blinks but takes it well.
Zaro throws a series of punches but Bookchin avoids them all with ease.
Zaro shoots in for a double leg but Bookchin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zaro throws a nice looking combination but Bookchin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bookchin scores with a kick to the midsection.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Zaro.
Bookchin can't do much from the bottom here.
Zaro wants to stand but Bookchin is controlling his arm.
Zaro tries to advance to mount but Bookchin denies him.

Zaro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bookchin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Zaro is breathing heavily.
Bookchin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bookchin holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Bookchin is looking to reverse the position.
Bookchin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bookchin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Zaro!

Bookchin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bookchin has hold of Zaro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zaro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zaro is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Bookchin looking to control but Zaro is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Zaro is desperately trying to improve his position but Bookchin has a good base and remains in mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bookchin quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bookchin but it's paid off an Zaro is forced to tap! Nice work by Bookchin.
