The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Down sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miller somewhat.
A slow jab from Down misses its intended target.
Down bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Miller's head backwards.
Down looks to land a left hand but Miller moved out of range nicely.
Miller wants to clinch up but Down keeps it at a distance.

and Miller counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Down's head.
Miller thows a huge punch but Down dodges it nicely.

and Down connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Miller shoots in but Down avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Miller counters with a nice uppercut.

and Down counters with a left and a right that stings Miller.

Down swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miller instigates a clinch.
Down has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Miller is working for takedown but Down is calmly controlling the position for now.

Down might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Miller gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Miller tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Down is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Miller buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Miller!! Miller is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Down throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
