Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chen Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin has chosen Aleksandr Karelin Intro as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin tries to clinch but Chong is having none of it.

Chong moves into the clinch.
Karelin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Chong prevents it.
Karelin wants a takedown but no success here.
Karelin tries to score a body lock takedown but Chong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chen Chong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Karelin.
Karelin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Chong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karelin misses with a left hand

and Chong counters by moving into the clinch.

Chong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Chong. No joy for Karelin on that attempt.
Chong scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Alexander Karelin has been cut.
Chong with a hook.
Alexander Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chong moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Chong sends Karelin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chong is motioning to the referee to let Karelin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Karelin is rocked!

That has opened up Alexander Karelin's cut even more.

Chong has managed to clinch.
Karelin tries to score a body lock takedown but Chong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Karelin looks gassed!
Chong is leaning against Karelin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Chong is pressed up against the cage. Karelin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chong down to the mat. Chong avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Karelin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chong circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karelin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Chong rushes Karelin and presses him up against the cage.

Chong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karelin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

The cut above Alexander Karelin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Chong counters with a crisp one two that drops Karelin! Chong thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Karelin to his feet! Karelin is in big trouble!

Alexander Karelin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alexander Karelin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
