Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasa Gusi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gusi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ekipa- BGD Syndicate. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Athan Stamatis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sasa Gusi!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusi moves in looking to clinch but Stamatis pushes him off.
Gusi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stamatis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Sasa Gusi has been cut.
Gusi tries for a takedown but Stamatis circles away easily
letting Stamatis counter with a right hand.
Gusi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stamatis is trying to improve his position.
Gusi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stamatis to see if he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gusi grinds an elbow into Stamatis's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gusi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stamatis, who protects the arm well.
Gusi looks up at the clock and then as Stamatis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gusi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gusi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Gusi has hold of Stamatis's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Stamatis seems comfortable defending it but Gusi has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Stamatis is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Stamatis is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gusi couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sasa Gusi!
