I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hunter Jackson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Oliveira's head.

Oliveira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Oliveira showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliveira tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it.

Oliveira is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jackson is staying active underneath Oliveira, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Still in half guard, Oliveira seems content to control.
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Oliveira is very close to passing his half guard.
Oliveira is looking to stall here but Jackson recovers full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
