Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between nickorockal guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paige Dupont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paige Dupont will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
guy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
guy doesn't manage to clinch there - Dupont circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dupont looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Dupont counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dupont bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dupont has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Dupont moves in looking to clinch but guy pushes him off.
Dupont lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
nickorockal guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Dupont has closed the distance and engaged guy in a clinch.

guy tries to score a body lock takedown but Dupont shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dupont connects with a nasty looking knee right to guy's face.

guy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dupont tries to avoid it but guy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dupont to the ground. Dupont escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Dupont counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

guy tries to control but Dupont wriggling away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
guy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Dupont is pressing down on guy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dupont is on top in guard.
Dupont wants to stand but guy is controlling his posture from full guard.
guy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dupont scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dupont drops back looking for a leg! guy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and guy manages to kick Dupont off! Dupont jumps back into guy's guard.
Dupont won't allow guy to sweep him here.

guy shoots for a takedown but Dupont saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

guy tries to keep at a distance but Dupont has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dupont breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dupont tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but guy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
guy closes the distance but Dupont moves to the side

and Dupont counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dupont.
guy jumps guard but Dupont stands there with guy around his waist. guy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Dupont counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. guy is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Dupont moves into range and clinches up with guy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dupont lands a nice elbow.
Dupont drops down looking for an ankle pick but guy pulls his leg out and moves away.
guy misses with a body punch
and Dupont counters with an outside leg kick.
Dupont stuns guy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

guy drives through with a takedown into guard.

guy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dupont works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
guy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dupont swivels though and keeps the full guard.
guy connects with a couple of short punches.
guy wants to control from the top but Dupont keeps moving.

guy gets to his feet. Dupont looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

guy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dupont manages to get himself to full guard.

Dupont stalks guy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into guy's face. guy staggers backwards, shaken.
