PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grzegorz Schab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schab has chosen Monopol - Zodiak na melanżu as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Schab changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Schab tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schab somewhat.

and Schab decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dick's guard.
Schab postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Schab shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dick as he jumps to the side.
Schab has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dick scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Dick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Schab moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Schab feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dick wants to stand but Schab is controlling the position.
