Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitorio Santi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heddy Lamaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamaar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pledge To Hedley Lamaar. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Heddy Lamaar!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamaar throws a wild body kick that Santi sees coming a mile off.
Santi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lamaar closes the distance and clinches.
Santi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lamaar is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Santi to the mat. Santi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Santi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lamaar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Santi is working away from the top position though.
Lamaar tries to roll over but Santi keeps him under control.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lamaar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lamaar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Santi is working for an americana but Lamaar has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Santi was thinking about the submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lamaar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santi has Lamaar in his guard.
Lamaar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lamaar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Santi is trying to get back to half guard.
Santi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lamaar connects with a decent elbow.
Santi is looking to reverse the position.
Lamaar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Santi some visible discomfort.
Lamaar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Santi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Check out the look on Lamaar's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lamaar scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Santi is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lamaar can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
