Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Lucic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into a darkened arena with his song building. F.E.A.R kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milan Lucic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Brown!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A big left from Brown misses.

Brown drops Lucic with a nice combination! Brown dives into Lucic's guard, looking to finish!


Lucic is rocked!


It looks like Milan Lucic has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Oh Lucic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brown must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brown is looking to stand up but Lucic won't let him.

Lucic is working an open guard so Brown takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Lucic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lucic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brown has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brown and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Brown throws and elbow that misses. Lucic uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brown's guard. Nice move by Lucic!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lucic trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lucic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ian Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Lucic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lucic jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lucic takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Lucic bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.
Lucic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Lucic goes for a small jab and connects. Now Lucic goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Brown stumbles back but Lucic runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Brown to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Brown will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
