Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiho Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ravi Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matos gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Matos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.

Matos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva prevents Matos from getting back to his feet.

Matos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Matos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva trying to stand up but can't free himself from Matos's guard.

Matos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Matos looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
Matos looks gassed!

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Matos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Matos manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Matos's guard.
Silva stops Matos from standing up.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Matos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva wants to control from the top but Matos keeps moving.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Matos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Matos's guard.
Matos tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Matos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Matos defends it well.
Matos wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva passes to full mount!
Matos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Matos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Matos is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Matos working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Matos is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into Matos. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Matos's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva.

Matos looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Matos's legs - danger averted.

Matos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Matos tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Matos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Matos has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Matos is looking for a sweep.
Matos tries to escape but Silva is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ravi Matos dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Matos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Matos shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Silva looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Matos is defending well. Silva quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Matos has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Silva celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
