The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pummel connects with the punch.
It looks like Marcelo Garcia has been cut.
Garcia throws a front kick aimed at Pummel's knee but Pummel avoids it well.
Pummel misses with a few strikes there.
Garcia closes the distance and clinches.
Garcia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

and Garcia counters with a nice uppercut.

and Garcia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pummel dips to his left and cracks Garcia with an uppercut!
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Garcia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Garcia throws a solid leg kick but Pummel takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Garcia.
Pummel is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pummel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Garcia back to the cage. Pummel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pummel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Garcia at a distance.
Garcia looks gassed!

Oooooh!!! Pummel has knocked Garcia down with a huge combo! Pummel steps away and waves a wobbly Garcia back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Pummel throws a hook but Garcia avoids it easily.
Garcia throws a low kick, looking for Pummel's leg but Pummel calmly moves out of range.
Pummel throws a lazy right hand but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Garcia counters with a straight right hand.

Pummel looks to score with a jab to the body but Garcia is just out of range.
Garcia throws a right hand that Pummel ducks under and follows up with a left that Pummel also avoids with ease.

and Pummel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pummel is rocked!
Pummel is aggressively charging in as Garcia backs up avoiding any damage. Garcia tosses out a jab and Pummel runs right into it face first! Pummel is out cold! Garcia dropped down on all fours and is barking in Pummel's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
