The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Pacquiao counter with a right hand.

Pacquiao takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pacquiao misses with a wild body shot.
Vasilios Nicko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pacquiao counters with a right hand to the body.

Junior Pacquiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasilios Nicko.
Nicko shoots in for a double leg but Pacquiao sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nicko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Pacquiao tries to bench press Nicko off him but Nicko keeps the position.

Nicko is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Pacquiao is trying to escape and Nicko transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Pacquiao is forced to tap! Nice work there by Nicko! Very nice indeed!
