The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sloppy strikes from Wilbon. Those never looked like landing.
Wilbon throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Long to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Craig Wilbon has been cut.
Wilbon throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Long counter with a right hand.
Long misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wilbon.

Wilbon slips under a jab.
Wilbon misses with a lunging right hand
and Long counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Long throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Long moves out of range as Wilbon strikes.
Wilbon throws a right hand that misses
enabling Long to counter with a crisp jab.
Wilbon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wilbon lands an overhand right.
Wilbon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Long looks to land a left hand but Wilbon moved out of range nicely.
Nice shot lands for Long.

Wilbon closes the distance looking to clinch
and Long counters with a left to the body.
Long is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wilbon.
Wilbon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Long counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That has opened up Craig Wilbon's cut even more.
Long throws a body punch but Wilbon moves out of range.
Long connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Long fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wilbon on the side of the head.

Wilbon is rocked!
Wilbon looks gassed!
Long digs a good body shot into Wilbon's ribs.
Wilbon is still on wobbly legs! Can Long finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilbon walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Wilbon limp body while Long jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
