Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJ Veb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ruent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Veb might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Damian Marley ft Nas - Road to Zion. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veb shoots in for a takedown but Ruent shows good takedown defense.
Ruent lands a nice looking body shot.
Ruent scores with a hook to the body. Veb takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Veb tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ruent swivels and escapes.
Ruent ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Veb tries a head kick but it misses.
Veb throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Veb is breathing heavily.
Ruent dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Veb stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ruent.
Ruent clinches with his opponent.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ruent.
Stalling in the clinch from Ruent.
Ruent lands a shot to the body.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Ruent continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Veb throws a head punch that misses.
Veb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ruent lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Veb backwards.
Veb tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJ Veb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruent stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ruent takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ruent creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Veb's defenses.

Veb goes for a takedown attempt but Ruent pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ruent works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Veb is rocked!
Ruent throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ruent thuds his right hand into Veb's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oh Veb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, BJ Veb's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Veb takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ruent moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Veb seems to have got his legs back now.
Ruent fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Veb has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ruent tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ruent scores with a hook to the body. Veb takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ruent throws a quick inside leg kick.
A shot to the liver by Ruent. Beautiful body shot.
Ruent scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at BJ Veb's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
