Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aristides Cipriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonardo Goncho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cipriano comes to the cage accompanied by Chico Science e Nação Zumbi - Manguetown. Leonardo Goncho has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Aristides Cipriano's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cipriano shoots for a double leg takedown but Goncho sprawls well. He's pushed Cipriano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cipriano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Goncho wants to pass the guard but Cipriano is keeping the position.
Goncho seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Goncho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goncho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Goncho stands up over Cipriano, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cipriano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Goncho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Goncho chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cipriano has momentary wrist control but Goncho slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cipriano had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Goncho is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cipriano Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Goncho's back instead.
Goncho rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
