Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Azamat Alikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Demenzov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Demenzov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Alikov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Demenzov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alikov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alikov is looking for a sweep.
Demenzov is looking to take a break and control but Alikov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Demenzov is trying to get an arm triangle but Alikov is defending well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Alikov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Demenzov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Demenzov tries to score with some ground and pound. Alikov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Alikov wants to hold on but Demenzov pushes him away.

Demenzov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Alikov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Alikov!

Alikov drops back looking for a leg! Demenzov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Demenzov manages to kick Alikov off! Alikov jumps back into Demenzov's guard.

Demenzov is looking for a triangle but Alikov pushes his legs off easily.

Alikov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Demenzov thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Alikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Demenzov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alikov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alikov wanted to stand there but Demenzov had control of the position.
Alikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Demenzov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Demenzov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alikov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Demenzov is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Demenzov throws a head kick that misses.
Demenzov looks gassed!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Alikov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Demenzov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Alikov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Alikov has hold of Demenzov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Demenzov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Alikov wants to finish this one by submission but Demenzov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Alikov.

Alikov is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Demenzov is forced to tap! Great finish!
