Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson McLane!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spencer is fending him off so far but McLane persists. Nope, Spencer circles away and we're back to standing.

McLane shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Spencer is controlling McLane's trapped leg to prevent McLane from advancing to side control.

McLane looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Spencer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jimmy Spencer wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Spencer shoots for a double leg takedown but McLane sprawls well. He's pushed Spencer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McLane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Spencer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jimmy Spencer just wasn't active enough.

Spencer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McLane to the mat! McLane manages to get full guard.

Spencer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Spencer tries to free his leg and advance position but McLane is retaining full guard.
McLane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

McLane tries to sprawl but Spencer drives through with a takedown into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McLane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McLane wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McLane wants to control but Spencer is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

McLane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Spencer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McLane's guard now.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
McLane is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Spencer is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Spencer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down McLane's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jimmy Spencer just wasn't active enough.

Spencer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McLane wants to get back to his feet but Spencer is dominant here and he's now got McLane's back!
McLane has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Spencer is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
McLane wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
