Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huell Howser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Avalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Avalos is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Avalos!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avalos tries to land a front kick but Howser steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Howser decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters circling - Howser throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Avalos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Howser has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Howser and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
