Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Badr Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vil Lane!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy moves out of range of the body kick from Lane.
Lane misses with a body kick.
Lane throws a body kick the misses
and Hardy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hardy closes the distance and pushes Lane back into the cage.
Hardy has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lane clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Can Lane hold on?! Hardy is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Lane is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Hardy is trying to stick to Lane's back but Lane is turning into Hardy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hardy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lane.
Lane tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardy is retaining full guard.
Lane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lane being controlled here momentarily.
Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lane has gone for a leg lock! Hardy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lane's guard.
Hardy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lane has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hardy is looking to defend but Lane has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hardy! Lane pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hardy taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vil Lane!
