Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyota Machida!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Overeem to counter with a crisp jab.
Machida misses with a combination
and Overeem counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Machida throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Overeem to counter with a crisp jab.
Overeem lands an overhand right.
Overeem misses with a two punch combination.
Overeem lands with a cross.
Machida throws a left and a right that both miss
and Overeem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Overeem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Overeem drops Machida with a left right combo! Overeem follows him down to the ground into side control.
Machida is rocked!
Overeem stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Machida is still on wobbly legs! Can Overeem finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circle, before Overeem throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Machida's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Overeem lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
