Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinn Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Link Gatez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by "That's All" by Genesis. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Link Gatez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a hook but Gatez avoids it easily.

and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gatez counters with a nice uppercut.
Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gatez.
Lee has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gatez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is staying active underneath Gatez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gatez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lee defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lee is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Gatez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lee's guard now.

Gatez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gatez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gatez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Link Gatez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gatez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
