Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samir Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinn Sixx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes into the arena with Celia Cruz - Guantanamera blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx looks to score with a jab to the body but Reyes is just out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Reyes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Reyes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sixx.
Sixx is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reyes.
Sixx uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reyes.
Reyes throws a jab but it's blocked by Sixx.
A cross from Reyes lands.
Sixx throws a right hand that Reyes ducks under and follows up with a left that Reyes also avoids with ease.
Sixx misses with a combination
and Reyes counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Reyes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Sinn Sixx has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reyes.
Reyes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reyes throws a hook to the side of Sixx's head but Sixx sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sixx dodges the punch combination from Reyes.
Left hook, right uppercut from Reyes.
Reyes just misses with a punch to the body.
Reyes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Reyes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Reyes.
Sixx is rocked!
Reyes throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sixx counters with a right hand to the body.
Sixx is still on wobbly legs! Can Reyes finish him?
Reyes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sixx seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reyes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sixx blocks a jab.
Sixx thows a body shot but no joy.
Reyes ducks under a wild hook from Sixx.
Sixx misses with a hook
and Reyes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reyes scores with a nice strike.
A punch lands to the side of Sixx 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Reyes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Reyes cracks a nice hook into Sixx's ribs.
Reyes lands with a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reyes, as that shot connected.
Reyes throws a body punch but Sixx moves out of range.
Reyes throws a hook but Sixx avoids it easily.
Reyes digs a good hook to Sixx's body.
Sixx throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reyes.
Sixx looks gassed!
Reyes lands with a straight right. Sixx didn't see that one coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sixx slips a jab from Reyes.
Sixx misses with a wild body shot.
Reyes throws a big shot that misses.

Reyes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Reyes lands with a nice body punch.
Sixx wants to slow Reyes down by chopping away at his legs.
The fighters circling - Reyes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reyes lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nice defenses there by Sixx.
Sixx uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reyes.
Sixx defending well as Reyes loads up on a big left hand.
Reyes misses with an uppercut
and Sixx counters with a nice uppercut.
Sixx throws out a leg kick but Reyes moves out of range and Sixx only half commits.
Reyes with a jab.
Reyes stuns Sixx with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sixx swings widly with a right hand
and Reyes counters with a left to the body.
Reyes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sloppy strikes from Reyes. Those never looked like landing.
Reyes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Reyes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sixx's head.
That has opened up Sinn Sixx's cut even more.
Reyes lands an overhand right.
Reyes throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Sixx crashing down! Sixx tries to stagger back to his feet but Reyes just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Sixx asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samir Reyes!
