Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele has chosen Ironman as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez misses with a kick to the body.

Steele cracks Gonzalez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gonzalez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gonzalez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gonzalez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gonzalez defends it easily.

Gonzalez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gonzalez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Steele tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gonzalez presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Steele is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Gonzalez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Steele is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gonzalez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gonzalez's back!
Steele is riding his opponent, not letting Gonzalez buck him off.
Steele is trying to stick to Gonzalez's back but Gonzalez is turning into Steele. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Steele's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gonzalez.
