And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Butter Bean!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean misses with a left hand
and Dale cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dale circles away quickly and effectively.
Dale throws a poor cross that misses
and Bean counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Philip Dale has been cut.
Bean missing with a left hand there. Dale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bean fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bean looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bean moves out of range of the strikes.
Bean takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dale misses with a hook.
Dale tries a low kick but Bean avoids it.
Bean lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dale at a distance.
Philip Dale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Bean counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dale thinking.
Bean throws a series of punches but Dale moves out of range.
That kick from Dale tenderised Bean's leg. Bean is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bean paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

enabling Dale to counter with a crisp jab.
Bean has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dale finds it's way round the side to connect with Bean's head.
Dale ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dale doesn't manage to clinch there - Bean circles away.
Dale throws a right hand that misses
and Bean counters with a straight right hand.
Dale looks to score with a jab to the body but Bean is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Dale misses the target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bean on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bean connects with a body shot.
Bean takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bean throws a body punch but Dale moves out of range.
Dale tries a head kick but it misses.
Dale looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bean tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Dale counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dale wants to clinch.
Dale tries to land a front kick but Bean steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Dale counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Butter Bean has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bean looks to land a right hand but Dale moved out of range.
Dale pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dale is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dale misses the jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dale with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dale throws a head kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Philip Dale will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bean blocks a jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dale.
Dale lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dale missing with a left hand there. Bean was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bean moves forwards but Dale connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Dale closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Bean's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dale works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Dale lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bean.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Dale.
Dale lands a shoulder strike.
Dale gets through Bean's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dale lands a shot to the body.
Bean's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


Bean is rocked!
Dale unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Bean! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Dale is unloading with more strikes now! Bean drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Philip Dale!
