The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hall's waist but Hall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Menezes off to one side.
Menezes lands a nice shot that snaps Hall's head back.
Charles Menezes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hall gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Menezes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Menezes is trying to get back to his feet but Hall has full control of the position and if anything, Menezes has just worked his way into a worse spot.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Charles Menezes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Menezes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Menezes tries to bench press Hall off him but Hall keeps the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Menezes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hall has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
