Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Kabouter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Verhnevolsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wesley Kabouter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Verhnevolsky!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kabouter shoots in and bounces Verhnevolsky off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kabouter trying to control the position from guard on top but Verhnevolsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Verhnevolsky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Verhnevolsky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kabouter defends it easily.

Verhnevolsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kabouter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kabouter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kabouter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Verhnevolsky on the ground.
Kabouter lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kabouter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Verhnevolsky napping and manages to drive through into side control!
