The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roc tries to close the distance and clinch but Ortiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Roc takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Ortiz has closed the distance and engaged Roc in a clinch.
Roc tries to land knees in the clinch but Ortiz avoids the damage to the body.

Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Ortiz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roc tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Still in the clinch, Ortiz scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ortiz unloads a knee to the mid-section. Roc lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Roc is breathing heavily.
The referee calls for Ortiz to work.
Ortiz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roc as he jumps to the side.

Ortiz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roc sprawls well initially but Ortiz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ortiz winds up and cracks Roc with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ortiz is taking a breather. Roc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ortiz decides to return to a standing position.

Ortiz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Roc's head backwards.
Ortiz throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Roc crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
