Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tank is trying to defend but Rua finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tank looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Rua is looking for a kimura but Tank is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rua to get the leverage.

Rua is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Tank to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Rua wanted to stand there but Tank had control of the position.

Rua is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tank is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tank has escaped and now he's on top!

Rua has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tank missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Rua bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tank's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rua drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tank dives on top into guard.
Rua wants to sweep but no luck.
Rua is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rua manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tank is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rua has hold of Tank's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tank manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rua stands up from mount. Strange move.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Tank tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tank manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rua gets a takedown into half guard.

Rua is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tank defends it well.

Rua is working for a submission of some sort.

Rua wants to work for an arm triangle but Tank is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rua is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tank is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
