Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kerr's guard.
Kerr being controlled here, momentarily.
Kerr wants to stand and escape but Jenkins is having none of it.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving.
Kerr wants to stand but Jenkins is controlling the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Jenkins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kerr has his takedown stuffed

and Jenkins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jenkins.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jenkins scoring with some ground and pound.
Jenkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kerr works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jenkins connects with a couple of short punches.
Jenkins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Jenkins stops Kerr from standing up.
Jenkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kerr has his feet on Jenkins's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Jenkins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jenkins forces his way into half guard.

Kerr is defending against the submission attempts here by Jenkins.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins throwing shots but Kerr is blocking nicely.
Kerr is staying active underneath Jenkins, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kerr is looking to escape.
Jenkins moves into full mount! Kerr won't be happy about that!
Jenkins trying to control but Kerr is having none of it.
Jenkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jenkins lands with some strikes.

Kerr is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Jenkins fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kerr is breathing heavily.
Kerr is in a horrible position here. Jenkins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins lands a big elbow.
The referee warns Kerr that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


It looks like Mark Kerr has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jenkins lands a big shot there that rocks Kerr but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Jenkins is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kerr has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kerr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jenkins.

Kerr really wants to buck Jenkins off and get back to his feet.
Kerr takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Jenkins pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Jeez, Mark Kerr's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Kerr's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
