Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Irons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irons has chosen Get On Your Knees - Age Against the Machine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Frank Irons has been cut.
Irons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Irons, pushing him back against the cage.
Irons fails to pull guard.
Irons tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Smith lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Irons or not.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Irons is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Irons. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Irons misses with a left hand
and Smith counters with a two punch combo.
Irons is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Smith slips under a jab.
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Irons but Irons pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Irons circles away from the clinch attempt.
Irons seems to have recovered his senses.
Smith misses with a low kick.
Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Smith misses with a double jab.
Smith swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Irons misses with a right hand

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smith.

Irons gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Irons will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith chips away with some ground and pound.

Smith is sitting in close to Irons's body. Irons has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Smith is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Smith is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Irons.
