Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vil Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vil Lane has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vil Lane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tim King!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. King showed some decent athleticism there.

Lane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but King pulls his head out easily.
Lane is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
King sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Lane looking for submissions off his back.
King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lane tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
King tries to pass to full mount but Lane defends it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with King in particular looking to stall.
Lane manages to get to full guard.

Lane throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King wants to pass the guard but Lane is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Lane's legs - danger averted.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
King postures up.

Lane is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King is stalling in the full guard.

Lane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.
King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lane is keeping the position for now.
King controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Lane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
King sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lane looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
King controls from within his opponent's guard.

Tim King has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
King moves out of range as Lane throws a body kick.
Lane scores with a leg kick.

King clinches up against the cage.
Lane is looking to control King's arms but King gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lane has his back to the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vil Lane will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lane pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
King sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Lane has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. King doesn't defend quickly enough and Lane has managed to lock this one up! Can King escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lane on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vil Lane!
