Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blaise Lamont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaise Lamont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Nash!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamont dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lamont throws a combination. Nash tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lamont rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nash moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lamont scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nash doesn't seem bothered though.

Nash gets caught flat footed, as Lamont shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lamont trying to control but Nash is working from the bottom.
Lamont not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lamont drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lamont jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nash is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lamont is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Lamont drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nash looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nash looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nash!
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Lamont can't do much from the bottom here.

Nash thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Nash postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lamont wants to control but Nash postures up.

Lamont tries to buck Nash off but Nash is having none of it.
Lamont takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Lamont manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nash's best efforts.

Lamont is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nash's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nash's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nash has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Lamont.

Nash grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Lamont lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Nash hold on?!
Nash can't escape the position.

Lamont is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Nash defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Nash is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lamont off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Lamont cracks Nash with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Nash from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Lamont doesn't have the hooks in and Nash manages to turn into his guard.

Lamont is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lamont wants to sweep but no luck.
Lamont wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nash needs to keep his hands up - Lamont had a free shot at his head there.

and Lamont counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nash won't be happy with that.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Lamont counters with a right hand to the body.
Lamont jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nash tries to move into range but Lamont moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Lamont looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Nash covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
