The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots and misses
enabling Kocherga to counter with a crisp jab.
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kocherga tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kocherga's guard now.
Kocherga wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.
Johnson trying to control but Kocherga is working from the bottom.
Kocherga is looking to stand back up but Johnson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kocherga.

Johnson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kocherga is trying to stand.
Johnson is controlling the pace.
Kocherga pushes Johnson off but Johnson dives into side control.
Kocherga is breathing heavily.

Johnson controls the position.

Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kocherga is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kocherga is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Johnson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Johnson is working to tighten is grip on Kocherga's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kocherga has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Johnson is really squeezing tight and eventually Kocherga passes out! Johnson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
