Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niklas Edmarker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pablo Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niklas Edmarker!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Edmarker's waist but Edmarker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alves off to one side.
Alves fails with the takedown.
Edmarker tries to clinch there but Alves circles away.
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edmarker but Edmarker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Edmarker has Alves up against the cage in a clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Edmarker throws an elbow but misses.

Edmarker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Alves shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alves showed some decent athleticism there.

Edmarker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alves's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alves's back!

Edmarker is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Edmarker gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Edmarker gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Edmarker apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Edmarker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Edmarker looks to land a combination but Alves avoids it well.
Alves shoots for a takedown but Edmarker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alves has a takedown stuffed.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Edmarker misses with a few strikes there.
Nice takedown defense from Edmarker. No joy for Alves on that attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Edmarker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Alves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Edmarker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Edmarker is pressed up against the cage. Alves has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Edmarker down to the mat. Edmarker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Niklas Edmarker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Edmarker throws a head punch that misses.

Edmarker lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alves backwards.
Alves keeps control of Edmarker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Alves has Edmarker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Edmarker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Edmarker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Edmarker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alves.

Alves looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alves tries to keep at a distance but Edmarker has taken the fight into the clinch.
Edmarker misses with a knee to the head.
Edmarker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Alves has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Edmarker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Alves blocks it with crossed arms.
Edmarker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Alves tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Edmarker smiles and moves away.

Edmarker is looking to clinch but Alves is avoiding it.
Alves ducks under a wild hook from Edmarker.
Alves misses with a takedown attempt - Edmarker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alves scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Alves is working to tighten is grip on Edmarker's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Edmarker has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alves is really squeezing tight and eventually Edmarker passes out! Alves breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
