Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knees Clinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Knees Clinch enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clinch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Clinch is looking to pass Cruz's guard but actually Cruz recovers to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Knees Clinch wasn't active enough on the ground.
Clinch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cruz defends it nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clinch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Clinch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cruz sprawls well. Cruz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clinch gets slowly back to his feet.
Clinch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cruz but Cruz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sergio Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knees Clinch.
Clinch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Horrible takedown by Clinch or perhaps it was just good defense by Cruz which made him look bad.

No luck for Cruz with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knees Clinch dominated that round.
That's time! Cruz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Clinch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cruz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Clinch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Cruz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cruz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Clinch is breathing heavily.

Cruz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cruz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Clinch screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cruz! Nice submission victory there!
