Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Langhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skeet Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skeet Down will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langhi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Michael Langhi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Down throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Down leaves Langhi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Down gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Langhi content to stall in guard here.
Langhi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Michael Langhi just wasn't active enough.
Down tries to clinch
and Langhi counters with a shoot takedown. Down fights it but they end up in guard.
Langhi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Langhi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Langhi shoots in and drives through. Down sprawls well.
Down takes a swing at Langhi's ribcage but misses.
Down displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Langhi.

Langhi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Down checks it well.
Langhi tries to bum rush Down with a series of wild strikes but Down uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Down misses with a hook. Langhi ducked under it nicely.

Langhi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Down.
Langhi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Down is looking for a sweep. Langhi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Langhi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Down is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
