The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardlock looks to clinch
and Couture counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hardlock tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Couture counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Couture moves into the clinch successfully.
Couture lands a body punch.
Hardlock is breathing heavily.

Couture lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Couture digs a right hand underneath Hardlock's ribcage. Hardlock let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Couture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hardlock closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Couture works Hardlock's body with a nice hook.

and Couture counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Couture lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Couture.
Hardlock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Couture lands with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Couture instigates a clinch.
Couture throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hardlocks head.
Couture lands a nice uppercut.
Couture gets through Hardlock's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Couture scores with a nice short uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Couture creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Couture cracks Hardlock with a nice body shot.
Couture scores with a nice hook to the head.
Couture lands a nice shot to the body.

Couture makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Couture lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hardlock to his knees! Couture keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
