Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and San Te (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). San Te will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Yoshida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, San Te!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Te coming out on top.
Yoshida tries to clinch but Te moves away
and Te makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Yoshida tries to clinch
and Te counters with a head kick. That will keep Yoshida thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Yoshida misses with a takedown attempt
and Te counters with a three punch combo that has Yoshida backing up. Yoshida nods at Te to acknowledge the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yoshida.
Te lands with a slapping head kick.
Yoshida takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Te lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Yoshida is rocked!
Yoshida could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Te drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Te has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Shinji Yoshida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Te shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Te showed some decent athleticism there.
Te stops Yoshida from getting back to his feet.
Te wants to take a breather but Yoshida is having none of it.
Yoshida might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Te is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
It looks like Te is going to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Te stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Te throws a lazy head kick

and Yoshida decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Te's guard.
Yoshida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Te is keeping the position for now.
Yoshida is breathing heavily.

Yoshida is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Te has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yoshida is looking to defend but Te has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yoshida! Te pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yoshida taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). San Te!
