Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Voitsek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Enter Sandman. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Shawn Voitsek was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Voitsek takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Shawn Voitsek has been cut.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
Voitsek wants to get back to his feet.
Jones throws a strike but Voitsek avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Voitsek can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Evander Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Voitsek to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Voitsek shrugs it off.

Voitsek sneaks out the side door and pushes Jones away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
