Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cathal Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright has chosen D-12 - Fight Music as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright is looking to clinch.
Wright throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bateman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wright is in Bateman's guard.
Wright is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wright got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bateman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wright has managed to get both his arms back between Bateman's legs - danger averted.
Bateman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wright gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bateman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wright doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wright manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bateman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wright is squirming around, avoiding Bateman's attempts to control the action.
Bateman swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wright is now in Bateman's guard. A big mistake from Bateman there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bateman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wright has Bateman in his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bateman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wright defends it easily.
