Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doug Lowbrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Fitzcannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzcannon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fitzcannon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fitzcannon throws a right and a left that Lowbrow avoids nicely.

Lowbrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lowbrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lowbrow is staying tight to Fitzcannon's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Fitzcannon closes the distance looking to clinch

and Lowbrow counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Lowbrow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fitzcannon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lowbrow controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Lowbrow gets to his feet. Fitzcannon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fitzcannon takes one to the chin there.
Lowbrow avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lowbrow has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fitzcannon looks gassed!
Fitzcannon tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Lowbrow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lowbrow stays in close to Fitzcannon's body and controls the position.
Lowbrow's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fitzcannon throws a left and a right that both miss

and Lowbrow counters with a shoot takedown. Fitzcannon fights it but they end up in guard.
Lowbrow is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Doug Lowbrow.

Lowbrow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Still in half guard, Lowbrow seems content to control.
Lowbrow seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fitzcannon for as long as he can get away with.

Fitzcannon squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fitzcannon tries to hold on but Lowbrow pushes him away.

Lowbrow stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Lowbrow is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fitzcannon's half guard.
Lowbrow passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fitzcannon!

Fitzcannon can't escape the position.

Lowbrow controlling the position easily from mount.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fitzcannon has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fitzcannon is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lowbrow has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Fitzcannon is defending well but eventually Lowbrow manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Fitzcannon has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
