Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Langham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Cabollaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carter Langham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Javier Cabollaro!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langham has his takedown stuffed
and Cabollaro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Carter Langham has been cut.

Cabollaro gets the takedown into side control.
Langham tries to improve position but can't.
Cabollaro controls the position.

Cabollaro stands up.
Langham looks to land a combination but Cabollaro avoids it well.

Cabollaro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Langham was covering up waiting for the punch and Cabollaro finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cabollaro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Langham goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cabollaro prevents it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Javier Cabollaro was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Cabollaro wants the takedown. Langham is fighting it off but Cabollaro persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Langham's guard against the cage.

and Cabollaro holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Cabollaro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Langham thows a body shot but no joy.
Cabollaro fails to land the takedown.

and Cabollaro counters by moving into the clinch.

Cabollaro is trying to trip Langham. He has hold of a leg but Langham is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cabollaro persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Langham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabollaro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cabollaro stands and steps away. Langham gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Langham tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Cabollaro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cabollaro is standing up over Langham. Langham looks to escape but Cabollaro dives into side control.
Cabollaro is working Langham over with some ground and pound from side control.
Langham tries to bench press Cabollaro off him but Cabollaro keeps the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Langham is trying to control Cabollaro's posture but Cabollaro avoids it.
Cabollaro lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Langham darts in trying to clinch

and Cabollaro counters with a single leg into guard. Langham didn't expect that.

Cabollaro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Langham with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cabollaro stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Langham to get to his feet.

Langham tries to circle away but Cabollaro has him pinned against the cage.
Langham jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cabollaro walks away with a smile on his face. Langham gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cabollaro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Langham was well out of range. Poor timing from Cabollaro.

Cabollaro decides to stand up.
Langham closes the distance but Cabollaro moves to the side

and Cabollaro counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Cabollaro throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cabollaro postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Langham to stand up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Cabollaro counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cabollaro.

Cabollaro is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Langham can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Langham wants to stand and escape but Cabollaro is having none of it.

Javier Cabollaro has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cabollaro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Cabollaro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Langham looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Javier Cabollaro has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Langham has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cabollaro.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Cabollaro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
