Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Cappo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Pfaller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pfaller is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smash Mouth - I Get Knocked Down. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfaller tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cappo is able to avoid easily.
Pfaller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cappo.

and Pfaller counters with a slapping leg kick.

Pfaller gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cappo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cappo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pfaller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pfaller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cappo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Cappo - that will leave a mark!

Cappo stalks Pfaller and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pfaller's face. Pfaller staggers backwards, shaken.

Cappo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pfaller tries to avoid it but Cappo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pfaller to the ground. Pfaller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cappo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cappo throws an elbow but misses.
Cappo tries to circle away but Pfaller has him pinned against the cage.
Cappo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pfaller just stands there and leans against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pfaller just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cappo's brow.

Pfaller is pressed up against the cage. Cappo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pfaller down to the mat. Pfaller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
