The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hokanen.

and Santana counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A head kick from Santana lands but Hokanen takes it in his stride.
Santana scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

and Santana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hokanen's knee momentarily.

Hokanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Santana throws out a loose jab but Hokanen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hokanen swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Santana counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hokanen looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santana swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hokanen.
It looks like Sumopainija Hokanen has been cut.

That kick from Santana tenderised Hokanen's leg. Hokanen is trying to keep his angry face on.
