Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darnell Sandifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darnell Sandifer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki looks for a takedown but Sandifer sprawls well.

The fighters circling - Sandifer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sandifer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aoki.
Sandifer misses with a wild combination.
Sandifer lands with a hook. Aoki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Aoki shoots in but no luck this time.
Aoki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Aoki closes the distance and clinches up with Sandifer, looking for a takedown. Aoki pushes Sandifer against the cage but Sandifer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinya Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sandifer scores with the left hand. Aoki knows he should have avoided that one.
Sandifer scores with a hook to the body. Aoki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Aoki is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sandifer.

and Sandifer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Aoki swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Sandifer counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Aoki to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Sandifer!
