The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trooper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McWeeny as he avoids it easily.
McWeeny tries to clinch but Trooper moves away
and Trooper counters with a left to the body.
McWeeny wants to clinch but Trooper slips to the side
and Trooper makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Malcom McWeeny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good work by Trooper as he checks the leg kick.
McWeeny darts in trying to clinch
and McWeeny takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trooper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trooper misses with the combination.
McWeeny tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Trooper counters with a three punch combo that has McWeeny backing up. McWeeny nods at Trooper to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trooper looks to throw the jab but McWeeny is out of range.
Trooper stalks McWeeny and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McWeeny's face. McWeeny staggers backwards, shaken.
Trooper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McWeeny tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Trooper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

McWeeny wants to clinch but Trooper slips to the side
and Trooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Trooper throws a lazy head kick
and McWeeny counters with a good low kick that Trooper was not able to check.
Trooper shoots in and drives through. McWeeny sprawls well.
Trooper lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Trooper.
Trooper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McWeeny pinned against the cage. McWeeny gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Malcom McWeeny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Super Trooper.
McWeeny wants to clinch
and Trooper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McWeeny wants to clinch
and Trooper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Trooper jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McWeeny looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
McWeeny takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McWeeny closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Trooper counter with a right hand.

McWeeny is rocked!
Trooper has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

McWeeny is holding his hands too far apart here. Trooper throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! McWeeny is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
