PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloe Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Remember my NAME!. Boy has chosen Those Dancin Days - Run Run as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy feints and then cracks Vera's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vera down.
Sonny Boy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boy tries to avoid it but Vera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boy to the ground. Boy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vera crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boy - the referee stops the clock and Vera gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boy. Vera manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Boy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boy catches Vera with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Vera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aloe Vera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vera looks to land a strike but Boy avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
