Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demian Blockhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Keith Urban - Stupid Boy. Tommy Boy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blockhead throws a shot from downtown. Boy moves away and avoids it.
Blockhead blocks a low kick nicely.

and Blockhead counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blockhead swings for the body but Boy moves out of range.
Boy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Demian Blockhead has been cut.

Boy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blockhead.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blockhead postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blockhead, into his guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boy is looking to clinch but Blockhead is avoiding it.
Blockhead digs a good body shot into Boy's ribs.
Blockhead swats away the attempt to clinch by Boy.
Blockhead tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boy was well out of range. Poor timing from Blockhead.
Boy thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Blockhead if he has to take too many more of those.

Blockhead throws a looping overhand right but Boy ducks down to avoid it.
Boy needs to keep his hands up - Blockhead had a free shot at his head there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blockhead stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Boy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
