Carwin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, big hands. Couture has chosen Eminence Front as his entrance music. the natural Couture has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with an uppercut. Carwin saw that one coming.
Couture throws a body punch but Carwin moves out of range.
Couture fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carwin is out of range.
Couture doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Carwin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Couture doesn't manage to clinch there - Carwin circles away.

and Carwin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carwin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Carwin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Couture's guard.
Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like the natural Couture has been cut.
Couture throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carwin blocks it with crossed arms.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Carwin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Carwin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Couture has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carwin has managed to get both his arms back between Couture's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Couture can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carwin controls the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
