The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pennx takes a jab right on the kisser.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pennx enables Tornado to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pennx manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pennx. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Tornado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tornado fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pennx looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tornado lands a nice hook to Pennx's body. Pennx takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Tornado has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pennx takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pennx looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Tornado stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tornado throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pennx stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Troy Tornado showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tornado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pennx. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tornado wants to stand and escape but Pennx is having none of it.

Pennx drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pennx jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Tornado has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
